Twenty-four from Nigeria Female Students Freed After Eight Days Post Kidnapping

A group of twenty-four Nigerian young women captured from the boarding school more than seven days back have been released, government officials stated.

Armed assailants invaded an educational institution in Nigeria's northwestern region last month, taking the life of an employee and seizing 25 students.

Nigerian President the president praised law enforcement regarding their "quick action" following the event - although the circumstances regarding their liberation were not specified.

The continent's largest country has suffered a spate of abductions in recent years - including over 250 children abducted from faith-based academy recently still missing.

Through an announcement, a special adviser within the government asserted that all the girls abducted from learning institution in Kebbi State had returned safely, stating that the occurrence sparked imitation captures within additional Nigerian states.

Tinubu announced that extra staff will be assigned towards high-risk zones to prevent more cases involving abductions".

Through another message on X, Tinubu wrote: "The Air Force is to maintain ongoing monitoring over the most remote areas, aligning missions alongside land forces to properly detect, isolate, disturb, and eliminate every threatening factor."

Exceeding numerous youths have been abducted within learning facilities in recent years, back when two hundred seventy-six students were abducted during the infamous large-scale kidnapping.

On Friday, no fewer than 300 children and staff were taken from St Mary's School, religious educational establishment, situated in local province.

Several dozen people taken from learning institution have since escaped according to religious organizations - but at least 250 remain unaccounted for.
