The pig, provided by a Coral Gables firefighter, was christened after the popular vernacular phrase of young people exclaiming ā6-7ā ā deriving from a hip-hop line ā often seemingly at random. The trend became so ubiquitous that a prominent word reference recently named āsix-sevenā its annual vocabulary selection.
The pardoned swine is now destined to live out its days at a countryside refuge āfar from charcoal and roasting pansā, according to the organizers' announcement.

Participants enjoyed a meat-free selection of spinach fritters and Cuban coffee as they celebrated the pig's pardon.
