The former president's Family Member Gets Expert Guidance from Golf Legend Woods Ahead of Professional Golf First Appearance

The young golfer will have plenty of well-known supporters when she begins her first LPGA appearance on Thursday.

The 18-year-old athlete, who is related to a former US president, obtained a tournament invitation to compete at the Annika tournament in Florida.

The former president, an avid golfer, possesses numerous courses worldwide and often competes against Kai.

"He's fairly competent. I shouldn't elaborate but we play competitive games," she stated.

The golfer shared that her grandfather, who cannot attend, told her: "Just avoid anxiety."

"My grandpa essentially suggested to compete and have fun," she explained.

"From my perspective, he's simply a regular grandfather. He won't be there for the tournament. He's busy with running the country, so he's rather occupied."

Being non-professional, Kai has participated in a mere three competitions this year and holds ranking 461 in the American Junior Golf Association listings.

However she's able to seek guidance from golf legend, who is dating her mother.

"He is the top athlete globally," Kai expressed.

"And he's an even better human being. He told me to go out there, have fun, and go with whatever happens."

The golfer will compete against some of the biggest names in professional golf at the competition, featuring second-ranked the champion, British Charley Hull, Lexi Thompson and 2023 champion champion Vu.

Tournament organizers mentioned that Kai's presence exposes golf to different demographics, specifically among youth audiences.

The social media influencer has a massive following and just introduced an exclusive apparel and wellness company.

The competition starts at 5:30 PM GMT.
