Homages Flow for the Reiners as Autopsy Reports Remain Under Wraps.

Well beyond 14 days after the tragic deaths of celebrated film director Rob Reiner and his partner, photographer Michele Reiner, peers and loved ones persist in remembering the pair.

A Heartfelt Farewell: Cary Elwes Remembers His Director

Writing on Instagram, actor Cary Elwes, who rose to fame in Reiner's beloved 1987 film *The Princess Bride*, mentioned he just recently felt ready to share openly about his profound loss.

"Enough time has passed that I can finally articulate my loss into words," shared Elwes, saying that his first meeting with Reiner created an instant bond. "As we began passing more hours together I understood this was someone I wanted in my life."

The actor uploaded archival material from the movie, commenting that he doesn't recollect "a single day without laughter".

"This story is about devotion, fidelity and selflessness. Principles that Rob valued immensely. Which is among the many reasons he was the ideal person to helm it," Elwes continued.

He also paid tribute Michele Reiner, noting: "To say that they were a great team would be an oversimplification. My heart still hurts every time I think of you." He finished with a quote from *The Princess Bride*: "Sure, death cannot stop true love but existence is agony without you."

Martin Scorsese Recalls a Colleague and Comrade

In a separate essay, revered director Martin Scorsese also honored Reiner, whom he first met in the 1970s.

"Immediately, I loved being with Rob. We had a instant connection for each other. He was hilarious and sometimes sharply witty, but he was never the kind of guy who would command the room," Scorsese wrote.

Scorsese mentioned Reiner's cameo appearance in his 2013 film *The Wolf of Wall Street*, embodying the father of the lead role.

"He was skilled at improv with the best. He was a master at comedy, he worked beautifully with his co-stars, and he grasped the emotional dilemma of his character," Scorsese wrote.

Court Proceedings: Autopsy Reports Withheld

This week, a Los Angeles court official decided to bar the disclosure of the Reiners' medical examiner's reports, following a petition from the local authorities.

A judicial mandate placed a embargo on the cases to limit the public release of "all case details, notes, reports or photos" connected to the ongoing investigation.

The relevant authority had earlier stated their deaths were the outcome of murder, with a record noting the cause as "multiple sharp force injuries".

Response and Criticism

Following the deaths, public personalities expressed different comments.

Former President Donald Trump wrote on the matter, offering provocative claims that were broadly criticized by many individuals.

Podcaster Joe Rogan lent his criticism to the those speaking out recently. Conversing on his program, Rogan described the statements as "disappointing" and remarked they showed a worrisome absence of compassion.

Rogan ended by suggesting that an adviser ought to have intervened when the impulse to speak on the tragedy was made.
