Barça revealed their first game will take place at the still-under-construction Camp Nou this Saturday. They will welcome the Bilbao team in La Liga 30 months since relocating to allow renovations to start.
“We’ve dreamed about the return. Now, it’s here. We’re back home. Back at Spotify Camp Nou.”
Not all seats will be available though over 45,000 attendees are permitted inside under the licence granted. After final construction, it will accommodate almost 105,000 spectators, increasing from the former 99,000. Barça announced recent additions comprise an updated entryway for the team along with upgraded changing facilities.
The club conducted an open training session at the Camp Nou on 7 November. Officials stated approval is being pursued from Uefa to play their next home Champions League game versus the German side in December at Camp Nou. They have been hosting matches in the temporary ground.
