Prolific young adult author and TV personality David Walliams has parted ways with his publisher HarperCollins UK, the company has said.

A spokesman for the company stated: "Following a thorough review, and with the guidance of its recently appointed chief executive, HarperCollins UK has decided not to publish additional books by David Walliams."

Reports indicate that the conclusion was made after an inquiry regarding allegations of questionable actions towards women.

The firm did not confirm the specific rationale behind the move, noting: "We refrain from speaking about internal matters."

A Prolific Writing Journey

Walliams stands as a most best-selling authors for kids, with sales exceeding in excess of 60 million copies internationally in five dozen languages.

His inaugural foray into kids' literature, *The Boy in the Dress*, came out under HarperCollins back in 2008.

Some of his works, for example *Gangsta Granny* and *Billionaire Boy*, have also been adapted into small-screen adaptations.

His bibliography includes in excess of 40 works in total, which features a festive story titled *Santa & Son*, which was released through HarperCollins last autumn.

A Dual Career

He first rose to fame on the television comedy show *Little Britain* and has additionally received National Television Awards for his work as a judge on *Britain's Got Talent*.

He was awarded an OBE back in 2017 honoring his contributions to charity and the arts.

This move occurs subsequent to the selection of Kate Elton as HarperCollins UK's new chief executive this past October.
